Cancer and Moon associations and remedies
During the solar ingress into the Summer Solstice cardinal water sign of Cancer, the Sun’s vital force will be energising the breast, chest and stomach regions of the body along with supporting the digestive system and memory.
With the Moon as the ruling planet of Cancer, supporting the lymph, menstruation and lactation will be useful.
Herbs associated with typical Cancer maladies would include Dandelion Root Taraxacum officinale, and Yellow Gentian Gentiana lutea. Blue Chamomile essential oil, Calcium fluoride cell salt and Clematis flower essence are also associated with Cancer related syndromes.

21 June – Sun ingress into Cancer – A sensitive time of homemaking and domesticity with emphasis on protection, defence and security. A fertile time with maybe emotional issues surfacing.
26th June – Mars at 28 degrees of Taurus – connected to events stemming from 17 February Eclipse.
28 June – Mars ingress into Gemini – A time where mental activity, aggression, contest and critical debate can be heightened, Inflammation or injury especially to shoulders, arms and hands, dry lung heat, asthma and insomnia are possible.
30 June – Full Moon in Capricorn
30 June – Jupiter ingress into Leo – A time of abundant expansive optimism, self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Watch out for increases in blood pressure and heart issues.
4 July – Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini – Abundant energy for original concepts, new ways of thinking which may involve sudden changes of energy and direction with maybe restlessness and impulsiveness. Sudden arrhythmia, shifts in hormone balance, inflammation and nerve issues may surface.
10 July – Venus conjunct South Node in Virgo – This maybe a time of loneliness and isolation for some. A weakening of Venus’ pain relieving quality, kidney function, skin cleansing abilities. Psychological-sexual issues may surface for those susceptible.
14 July – Dark Moon in Cancer.
Potentising Herbal Remedies
Potentising herbs can attune your herbs to the desired outcome by harvesting, preparing and timing the administration of the remedy. The first dose was seen to be the most important for potentising as this sets the stage for healing. This was the traditional method of western astrological herbal practice.
For potentising herbs relative to the water element or for Cancer correspondences such as; damp, wet, cooling herbs, urinary system herbs, digestive system herbs, galactagogues to support lactation or memory tonics, use days throughout this solar ingress when the Moon is also in water signs. These include; 24, 25 and 26 June, waxing Moon in Scorpio, 4,5 and 6 July with the Waning Moon in Pisces, 12,13 and 14, waning and Dark in Cancer and 21 Waxing Moon phase in Scorpio.

These transits may affect you personally, if you are predisposed, this can be seen within your natal and other related charts, usually by what is termed a Trinity of Testimonial’s, though otherwise they are general.
