Full Moon at 3 degrees of Aries 26 September 2026

Excerpt from The Perennial Wheel

This Libra season full Moon is at 3 degrees of masculine cardinal fire sign of Aries with the Sun at 3 degrees of masculine cardinal air sign of Libra, who is in fall.

Within medical astrology this Aries-Libra axis corresponds to the acid-alkaline balance.

This lunation has the cardinal energy of illuminating or culminating and initiating of an fire air balance, the mental oxygen stocking the spark of action. Though the Sun here is not comfortable and has his energy weakened in fall.

Mars also in fall is in Cancer and at critical 29 degrees, is the ruling planet of this lunation and in a wide trine to the Moon, they are in mutual reception though and helping each other out.

The sensitive Moon has just past exact conjunction to glamourous Neptune retrograde and meet stern Saturn later in the day.

Attempting to prioritise the aspects, the applying opposition of Mars in fall opposing Pluto retrograde strikes me as concerning as the hard relationship aspects between the two often indicate conflict and danger. Here warrior Mars is tenanted uncomfortably in a home loving and family orientated sign and opposing, always suggesting tension and others, Pluto retrograde, a generational planet in a humanitarian orientated sign, which can often appear cold to outsiders. Here Mars appears to be defending the nest from an undercurrent of change within the wider social sphere.

The air trine between the Sun in Libra in Fall, change agent Uranus retrograde in meandering Gemini, and the transformative Pluto retrograde in the humanitarian Aquarius makes me think the Sun is trying to bring to light, briefly and weakly, intellectual ideas of intended coming change before moving out of orb in a few days’ time.

Moon, Herbs and Ritual

  • The Full Moon is excellent for harvesting herbs (especially Mushrooms)
  • A cardinal fire Moon thus dry and barren
  • Useful to support brain, head, face, upper jaw and eyes
  • Herbs could include Eyebright, Euphrasias officinalis
  • A simple Full Moon ritual could be to take some time out, light a candle and incense, place down an offering of honeyed milk or mead in your working space, mental or verbally stating gratitude and willed intention of protection and healing in prayer or medication, the chill out.

‘Thou shalt do nothing without the assistance of the moon,’ Agrippa.

‘The stars incline, they do not compel, a trinity of testimonial’s is needed for certainty. With foresight and preparation, a certainty can be prepared for, helping to either enhance or negate, as needed.’

These transits may affect you personally, if you are predisposed, this can be seen within your natal and other related charts, usually by what is termed a Trinity of Testimonial’s, though otherwise they are general.

If you are likely to be susceptible to this influence, making preparations of meditation and prayer, practicing forms of psychic self-defence maybe necessary. The best psychic self-defence is considered to be from those of your personal ancestral roots and not of foreign belief systems. Creating and maintaining a strong ancestral veneration practice is seen to strengthen against malicious forces.

The safe use of herbs and other remedies will always depend upon your unique health situation, and you should always take into consideration any possible contraindications; pregnancy and lactation, children’s doses, herb/drug combinations, allergic reactions and up and coming surgery, seek advice from your trusted health professional if not 100% sure.
